Kashmera Shah beats up reality show contestant!

It’s been quite some time Kashmera Shah has been done and over with Rakhi Sawant and Bigg Boss, but the gal still seems to have a strong hangover from the House of Scandal. While shooting her latest reality show Steal Ur Girlfriend for Channel [V], Kash, who anchors it in true-blue chick-flick style, actually beat up a contestant called Atirek Sharma.

Reason? “The guy just didn’t understand how to sweep a girl off her feet,” Kash snaps, as if justifying her actions.

Hitting Atirek Sharma on his head, Kash got so involved in the show’s proceedings that she started laughing an evil laughter while punching the poor guy who didn’t know whether to cry or get turned on as Kash was right on top of him. As the baffled contestant took a breather, she looked him in the eye, gave a wicked stare and ruffled his hair like a mischievous kid.

Gosh! What on earth was on Kash’s mind? Or she just lost it? When asked, she cattily winks and says she has always beaten up men in her life. “If you beat them up properly and lay them well, you can walk all over them all your life.” Huh!

Channel [V]’s synopsis of the show reads: ‘Kashmera plays an angel in disguise, helping out helpless lovers turn from zeroes to heroes and steal girlfriends of other guys!’

Yeah, that’s being naughty enough! But if this is Kash’s definition of being an ‘angel’ to the contestants, imagine what could happen, if Kash decides to play ‘devil’ for a change someday. Wonder if her smarty-pants boyfriend Krushna wants to say something here!!

Amar Upadhyay emerges the most dignified member of Bigg Boss 5

Even as Akashdeep Saigal (alias Sky) slyly tries the nastiest tricks in the book to provoke and insult co-contestant Amar Upadhyay on Bigg Boss, the latter is emerging the coolest Housemate on the show, keeping a dignified silence with a lot of self restraint.

After Akash spoke about Amar’s family in a derogatory manner on the show and also falsely accused him of having an affair with evicted participant Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai, his scathing and malicious attacks on Amar continue. Calling him an out-of-work actor, a repulsive-sounding Akash even said that Amar was a good-for-nothing, whose only claim to fame was his character of Mihir Virani in Ekta Kapoor’s Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

The latest episode of Bigg Boss saw all the Housemates excited when the day begins. They dance to the wake up song. However, things take a turn for the worse a little later. Amar is working out in the exercising area when Mahek Chahal, Akash and Juhi Parmar come there.

Akash starts taunting Amar by stating that he has had a “failed career” before the show. Amar does not react. Akash then tells him that he will continue to suffer once he gets out of Bigg Boss 5. Amar still does not react. Akash then mocks at the way Mahek speaks and insinuates that Amar is having an affair with Shradha Sharma. Amar finally breaks his silence and sternly says that all the girls in the House are just his friends.

Akash then announces that Amar was also seeing Vida as the two were very friendly. Amar raises his voice a bit and tells him that there was nothing between him and Vida, and he is a happily married man.

“Amar is a devoted husband, a loving father and a God-fearing person, who practices yoga and meditation to keep his calm. Akashdeep has been mistaking his silence for his weakness,” says Amar’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

He adds that “Amar is a level-headed and upright person, with a lot of self-esteem. Though he is a no-nonsense guy, he has realized that it is almost futile to react to Akash’s monkey business. But that doesn’t mean he will take it lying down for long. Akash is continually hitting out at him by trying to offend, insult or defame him, and there might come a time, when Amar might be forced to put him in place in his own language.”

Amar Upadhyay’s family plan legal action on Akashdeep Saigal

Amar Upadhyay’s family is extremely hurt and furious by Bigg Boss contestant Akashdeep Saigal’s unsavory remarks and defamatory attacks on the personal life of the actor and plan to initiate legal action against Akashdeep, informs Amar’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

In this week’s episode of Bigg Boss, Akashdeep (also known as Sky), intensified his scathing attacks on Amar, who has been a well-known television personality, famous for his character of Mihir Virani in Ekta Kapoor’s Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Behind the actor’s back, Akash was seen bitching about Amar to contestants Juhi Parmar and Shradha Sharma, uttering spiteful and vicious things about him.

“Jo aadmi (Amar) apni biwi aur bachchon ka nahin ho sakta… yahan par woh Vida (Samadzai) ke saath apne gulchhade uda raha hai… woh aadmi kiska ho sakta hai?… Usse pata nahin ke kaise dikhega woh wahan pe,” said Akashdeep on Bigg Boss. “Mereko toh pata bhi nahin tha ke iske do bachche hai… iski shaadi hui hai! Press waalon ne mujhe bola toh I was shocked,” he added.

“What Akashdeep Saigal is saying is totally false and amounts to slander and defamation. Amar’s family is concerned and upset over such incorrect and nasty remarks which vilify and malign their image on national television. They plan to take legal action on Akashdeep,” retorts the actor’s publicist.

“Amar is a very happy and content family man, having abounding love for his wife Hetal and their children. He is participating in the reality show as a contestant and has not flirted with Vida Samadzai, as insinuated by Akashdeep. In fact, after being evicted from Bigg Boss, Vida has had a chat with Amar’s wife and they have had a hearty laugh, discussing the nitty-gritties of the show,” states Bhagwagar.

The PR specialist also points out that Akashdeep is lying about being unaware of Amar being a married man. “Akashdeep is not only aware of Amar’s martial status, but has also met Amar with his wife at a party and interacted with them together before. Amar’s family is stunned to see Akashdeep continuously indulging in repulsive misleading statements and such character assassination on the show.”

Bigg Boss betting ring to be exposed!

Even as Bigg Boss continues to move from controversy to controversy, a shocker of a scandal could rock many in business as well as entertainment industry trade circles.

Celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar who has earlier handled the media for maximum number of controversial celebrities on reality shows including Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Ashmit Patel, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah and Sherlyn Chopra (Bigg Boss), has revealed that since two weeks, he has constantly been getting calls from a person claiming to be an “affluent businessman from Orissa” indulging in “betting” on the reality show.

“There has been this guy who kept calling and messaging me for two weeks, asking me for updates on Bigg Boss. He wished to know which participant will be evicted, who will come in the finals and who will win the show and so on. When I told him that I am not aware of such things for sure and only guess to predict, he said, he is into ‘betting’ on Bigg Boss and insisted I give him insights on a regular basis for three months,” reveals the publicist.

Dale adds, “I asked him to stay away from such ‘betting’ talks with me and not to bother me, but he persisted, calling me often. Even when my phone was switched off, he’d keep trying my number and I have call data records as well as umpteen missed call alerts of his cellphone number and some SMS’s to prove this.”

Stating that he isn’t aware how many people could be part of such a betting ring on Bigg Boss, Dale discloses, “Whenever this guy got through me, he tried to smooth talk, using different tactics and word play to pressurize me to meet him in Mumbai on some pretext or the other.”

“Ultimately, I stopped speaking to him and messaged him not to call me in future as such things are illegal,” says the publicist, who refused to reveal the person’s identity before consulting his legal team.

Asked if he plans to file a complaint informing the Police about the ‘betting scandal’, the public relations expert admits, he is considering the option.

The current season of Bigg Boss has seen names like Shakti Kapoor, Pooja Bedi, Shonali Nagrani, Nihita Biswas, Shradha Sharma, Mandeep Bevli, Raageshwari, Vida Samadzai, Mahek Chahal, Sonika Kaliraman Malik, Pooja Misrra, Gulabo Sapera, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Juhi Parmar, Amar Upadhyay, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Aksahdeep Saigal and Swami Agnivesh till now, with Sanjay Dutt anchoring the show along with Salman Khan.

Mandeep Bevli evicted from Bigg Boss!

Ab “sleep” aayega,

“potty” bhi aayega,

sirf “birds” se bachneka!

“Agar exercise hoga, toh paani peeyenge na, toh potty aayega!” Noodle-haired Mandeep Bevli used to say that as she often complained about “constipation” and “sleep deprivation” in the Bigg Boss House.

Mandeep, who has been known mostly for her trademark bewildered owlish look on the show, was constantly seen cribbing about her health in comical Hindi and hilarious Hinglish.

Luckily or unluckily, she will no longer need to go through ‘sleep deprivation’ or ‘constipation’ leading to ‘potty disorders’ (LoL). Cause Mandeep has been voted out and evicted this week from the House of Scandal.

After Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor, Charles Sobhraj’s wife Nihita Biswas, Rajasthani Kalbelia dancer Gulabo Sapera, pregnant wrestler Sonika Kaliraman and Yeh Duniya Badi Rangeeli singer Raageshwari, the gossip girl from Headlines Today has become the sixth casualty this Season.

Pitted opposite the tigress Pooja Misrra, glam quotient Mahek Chahal and the mischievous yet lovable Amar Upadhyay, Mandeep had become the weakest link on the show, as she was unwell and unable to take the pressures of the Bigg Boss House.

“Mereko kuch idea nahin hai – main jaa raha hoon, aa raha hoon. Mera shit band hai, four days se, jis din se main aaya hoon. Kyunki mera jab tak sleep nahin hoga, mera shit aayega nahin,” Mandeep had quipped on Bigg Boss. Speaking to a camera, she’d said, “khada hua nahin jaata hai, khana nahin kha rahe hai, potty nahin aa raha hai.”

Mandeep had also slid under the dining table, after spotting a Bulbul (bird) sitting inside the Bigg Boss House, describing her ‘bird scare’ as a “phobia”.

“Mandeep and her style of uthneka, soneka, jaagneka and camera pe potty discuss karneka, will be missed by many,” laughs celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar; a specialist with Bigg Boss.

“I’m sure she will catch up on a lot of sleep after coming out,” he winks and adds, “The only thing Mandeep has to still worry about, are the birds in the sky. For you never know when one could just swoop down and attack her!!” Oops! Don’t listen to Dale, Mandeep! Don’t listen! Hard luck and sleep well!

Amar Upadhyay outsmarts Akashdeep and Siddharth on Bigg Boss

After being the target of the two other boys, Akashdeep Saigal and Siddharth Bhardwaj on Bigg Boss for a week, actor Amar Upadhyay seemed to have finally outsmarted them recently, when they tried to cunningly frame him with words.

Starting a discussion about Amar’s mischievous eyes, Akash and Sid were seen struggling to corner him, while all the three guys had their first private meeting in the bubble section on Bigg Boss lawns.

While Amar patiently listened up, Akash and Sid continued their word play, taunting him with remarks like, “Yeh rocking aadmi hai yaar. Personality hai,” “He’s ok. He’s harmless,” “Bahut sumdi mein khelta hai yeh,” “Yeh pata hai, kis type ka hai, very creative. Poora research kar ke khel raha hai.”

Blaming him for tomfoolery on the show, Akash who has earlier acted with Amar on the daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, asked him, “Kya karta hai tu? Kahan seekha, bata to sahi?” Sid continued, “Classes ho rahi hai kya koi Bigg Boss ki. Tu logon ko botal mein utaar leta hai. Tu botal kahan se laya, yeh bata.”

“Bol na, kya karta hai tu. Kuch toh seekha,” provoked Akash; followed by an evil laughter. “What’s your trick,” goaded Sid, as Amar continued to answer all their questions in a very composed manner.

Realizing that their provocation was not making any difference to the chilled out Amar, Akash ultimately popped up the most scandalous question with a straight face! “Chal bata, yahan par sab logon mein se sabse best game kaun khel raha hai,” he asked. “Tu,” was Amar’s short and prompt reply with a naughty smile.

Becoming conscious of being continuously outsmarted, both Akashdeep and Siddharth broke out into more evil laughter and clapped, while Amar gave them that typical mischievous smirk that he has come to be known for on Bigg Boss.

“His smirk is enough to make Akash and Sid jittery for now,” remarks Amar’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar outside the House. “While Siddharth has been a part of reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla, Roadies and others, Akash has participated in Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao and Fear Factor earlier. But reality television is a first for Amar with Bigg Boss. So his calm and cool dude attitude has been bothering both Akash and Sid while they are trying their best to ruffle him,” laughs the publicist.

Exposed: Pooja Bedi’s ‘real issue’ with Pooja Misrra!

We have all seen Pooja Bedi fight with Pooja Misrra over trivial matters in Bigg Boss and gang up with all the other Housemates to brand her a “psycho”. Missra, who has been No.1 on Bedi’s target list, has been defending herself throughout, in her inimitable style and panache.

But not many are aware that Bedi’s ‘real issue’ with Misrra started much before the two entered Bigg Boss. And the true reason behind Pooja Bedi’s behaviour is brother Adam Bedi.

Spilling the beans, celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who has elaborately counseled Pooja Misrra over days before she entered the Bigg Boss House, tells us that “Pooja Misrra and Adam Bedi can’t see eye to eye, as they had massive issues in the past on another reality show Big Switch on UTV Bindass. This could have affected Ms Bedi’s outlook towards Ms Misrra from the first day in Bigg Boss. Though, whether it is right or unfair of Ms Bedi to have prejudged Ms Misrra is another debate altogether.”

The public relations man however adds, “I’ve met Adam before and he is a nice and humble guy.” About Pooja, he remarks, “Pooja Misrra is a very sweet person, childlike at most times, but grossly misunderstood. She is straight-forward, bold and super blunt, and that often gets her into mega trouble. She is extremely good to people who are good to her, but turns into a tigress if rubbed the wrong way. That’s an integral part of her personality and needs to be understood by everyone around her.”

Dale, who is a specialist with Bigg Boss, having handled the maximum number of reality show participants including Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss) among many others, admits he advised Misrra on the “ways of survival” in what he terms “the House of Scandal”.

“I’ve given her loads of tips for Bigg Boss, but the biggest tip I gave her was to be herself,” he says, and adds, “I told her to always keep in mind that the ‘reality show’ in reality, is just a game. I asked her not to get worked up beyond a point, as other participants would often create a lot of situations to get her to react,” Dale informs.

After understanding Pooja’s personality and nature, Dale realized that the Housemates would try to take maximum advantage of her straight-forwardness. “So I told her, whatever happens, she should always stand up for the sake of righteousness and never call it quits from her side.”

Dale, who is often referred to as Misrra’s ‘guerrilla publicist’, says he is proud that Misrra has heeded his advice and has managed to survive the toughest attacks, alienation from all Housemates, as well as three consecutive evictions by now. “If Pooja continues to follow my advice on the show, I won’t be surprised if she survives 10 more evictions,” says the PR expert.

Shakti Kapoor evicted after facing humiliation in Bigg Boss!

After being humiliated by most Housemates in the last few days of his stay in the Bigg Boss House, ‘Aaoo’ man Shakti Kapoor, who had entered the House with 12 ladies amid much fanfare and widespread speculation, faced defeat this week, as he lost out in votes to lesser known names like Mahek Chahal, Pooja Bedi and Shradha Sharma.

Shakti had entered the House performing to the number Bachna Ae Haseeno Lo Main Aa Gaya, but by the time he left, he was the one who seemed to need all the ‘saving’.

While the actor was said to have entered the reality show to rectify his image spoilt by the sting operation India TV had carried on him a few years ago, he seems to have returned from Bigg Boss with his image marred further.

Some also link his eviction to his earlier spat with the show’s co-host Salman Khan, which Shakti also indirectly discussed with another contestant on the show.

The Bollywood villain was not only seen playing politics with the Housemates, but also received flack when he slapped Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai’s butt on the show. Vida, who had become his good friend in the initial days, deserted him as she felt he was indulging in bitching and back-biting.

Shakti’s many other ways with the ladies on the show were abhorred, and now the actor is left with a more tarnished image than ever before.

When we asked celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar about the extent of damage Brand Shakti Kapoor has undergone, he remarked, “The situation is not so bleak and can still be controlled. Shaktiji may have been unable to prop up his image with the show, but he has surely benefited in terms of immense visibility. If he manages his PR well on his return to the outside world, he could still stand to be a winner.”

“What hit Shaktiji worst on the show was his long-time friend Pooja Bedi, repeatedly pointing out that he was not behaving like a gentleman, a good father, husband and family man. I guess, that negative branding hurt him the most,” adds Dale, sympathizing with the actor.

He analyses, “This situation was accelerated by the fact that while Shaktiji was being alienated by many Housemates and battled the onslaughts alone, he had absolutely no back-up support in terms of a PR machinery or management team outside the House, which could have done much to either justify his actions with his image, or at least dilute the negative impact, by portraying his actions in lighter vein. This was a big factor that went against him for garnering votes,” rues the PR expert.

Are Siddharth and Shonali ‘faking’ a romance for TRPs in Bigg Boss?

After the roaring heat generated by Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik on Bigg Boss last year, romance was definitely a missing link this season. But now that too, is about to become a thing of the past.

While India’s biggest House of Scandal continues to buzz with mind-boggling activity including daily catfights, Miss India International Shonali Nagrani and Wild Card entry Siddharth Bhardwaj have begun coochie-cooing like lovebirds on the reality show.

The latest episode caught the couple in the bedroom, exchanging sweet-nothings under the observance of night cameras, with Siddharth consoling and hugging Shonali and kissing her hand, while the girl seemed to reciprocate his every move.

“Siddharth has earlier won the reality show MTV Splitsvilla and knows how to play things up. If all goes well, we should have the first full-blown romance of this season on Bigg Boss in a few days,” says celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who is a specialist with reality shows, having handled the PR for some of the most popular contestants including Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss).

When asked if Siddharth and Shonali are doing this for TRP’s, Dale remarks, “It doesn’t matter much, as long as they are providing the entertainment. Bigg Boss is a game and however much one thinks of it affecting society, one should not forget that all the Housemates know very well that they are wearing mikes around them and are surrounded by cameras 24×7. They have all gone on the show with personal agendas and roles to portray. They have all gone on it to play and win.”

‘Raageshwari is the weakest link in Bigg Boss!’

As the week draws to a close, Bigg Boss fans can’t help but wonder, who will be evicted this week.

Changing the norm of putting up two contestants for eviction every week, this week the show has nominated six Housemates namely Juhi Parmar, Raageshwari, Shonali Nagrani, Amar Upadhyay, Mahek Chahal and Pooja Misrra (the latter being nominated for the third consecutive week).

“Since Bigg Boss is India’s biggest reality show, people speculate with abated breath to see who goes out every week and who gets to survive. This week too, the anticipation is high,” says celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar, who has handled the media for maximum number of reality show contestants like Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss) among many others.

Hesitant to come up with a probable name, when we push Dale for his personal opinion, he says, “Knowing, studying and understanding the show from years, I’d pick Raageshwari. Though she is a fabulous person, I feel she hasn’t been able to meet the requisites a scandalous show like this demands. This makes her the weakest link at the moment, very likely to be evicted.”

“Plus, if Raageshwari goes, there’ll be more drama as her ‘best friend’ Pooja Bedi will be terribly upset that her closest pal left instead of her ‘target’ Pooja Misrra,” Dale adds.

Now, Dale has rarely gone wrong in his judgment, so let’s see if he has his hand on the pulse this time too. It sure is an interesting wait-and-watch game.
