According to inside sources the much speculated entry of Mike Tyson inIndia’s biggest reality show Bigg Boss has come to a halt. Latest reports suggest that the deal between the boxing legend and the makers of the show, hit a roadblock after the parties could not agree upon the remuneration. Mike is heard to have asked for an astronomical amount, resulting in the deal going kaput.
When quizzed about this, celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar reacted, “Brand Mike Tyson could have been a big shot in the arm for the show. Nevertheless, the expected entry of former Australian cricket team all-rounder Andrew Symonds should make up for it. Cricket is no less than a religion inIndiaand Andrew’s presence would surely attract a lot of eyeballs and pep up the enthusiasm factor.”
As Bigg Boss nears its finale, with the number of contestants reducing, there seems to be a fluctuation in the high-voltage drama we witnessed on the show in the last two months. Apart from handling the media for Housemate Amar Upadhyay for this season, Dale was also consulted by ex-contestant Pooja Misrra, before she entered Bigg Boss.
Supporting her tooth and nail while she was in the House and even justifying her actions most of the time, Dale had ensured, Pooja became the most talked-about and debated Housemate of the year. But when we asked the PR expert about Pooja Misrra’s chances of a Wild Card Entry on Bigg Boss, he surprisingly refused to comment anything at all.
Meanwhile, Symonds who is said to enter the House coming Wednesday, is rumoured to be a guest for five days on the show. A two-time World Cup winner, since mid-2008, Symonds has spent most of the time out of the team, due to disciplinary reasons, including alcohol.
He was sent home from the 2009 World Twenty20, his third suspension, expulsion or exclusion from selection in the space of a year. With his central contract then withdrawn, many cricket analysts have speculated that the Australian administrators will no longer tolerate him, and that Symonds may announce his retirement.
Last year, The Great Khali had created quite a stir with his strong presence on Bigg Boss, while foreign contestants like Baywatch girl Pamela Anderson, German model Claudia Ciesla, the late British reality TV star Jade Goody and Canadian pornstar Sunny Leone have all made their presence felt.
Since Bigg Boss Season 5 began, the show anchored by Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan has proceeded with names like Shakti Kapoor, Pooja Bedi, Shonali Nagrani, Nihita Biswas, Shradha Sharma, Mandeep Bevli, Raageshwari, Vida Samadzai, Mahek Chahal, Sonika Kaliraman Malik, Pooja Misrra, Gulabo Sapera, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Juhi Parmar, Amar Upadhyay, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Aksahdeep Saigal, Swami Agnivesh and Sunny Leone.
