Pankit Thakker returns with Dharampatni

Pankit Thakker, the blue-eyed boy of Indian television, who was loved as ‘The Champ’ in the Star One daily soap ‘Dill Mill Gayye’, will now be seen playing a pivotal role in another mega daily soap titled ‘Dharampatni’ on Imagine TV from this week.

The story is inspired from the times shared by Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba, before Gandhiji emerged as the Father of the Nation.

Pankit, who plays the role of the eldest of three brothers, is super excited. “It’s a challenging role, and I’ve been working on my look, style, personality and diction for it. I’ve even put on a lot of weight to get into the skin of the character. I hope the audience appreciates my efforts this time as well,” says the versatile young gun.

Earlier, apart from ‘Dill Mill Gayye’, Pankit has charmed the television community with memorable characters in many successful shows like ‘Kabhi Sauten Kabhi Saheli’ and ‘Kumkum – Pyara Sa Bandhan’ (Star Plus), ‘Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan’ (Zee TV), ‘Special Squad’ and ‘India Calling’ (Star One). Lets see what ‘Dharampatni’ has in store for him now.

The secret behind Neetu’s new-found radiance

Neetu Chandra has been glowing of late. She’s lost around 10 kgs of weight and is looking sexier than ever before. But do you know the secret behind her new diva-like looks? It’s the food.

The all-new Neetu Chandra

No, the babe is not on any diet, but has started being extra cautious about eating healthy. She loves her “ghar ka khana”. And from some time now, she’s off rice, potatoes, fried stuff, pastries, cakes, butter and ghee.

Her rejuvenation trip stretches to her eating out too; her favourite restaurants being Mainland China and Indigo in Lokhandwala. At the latter, she gorges on steamed vegetables, ginger garlic soup and chicken steamed dumplings. In fact, the restaurant guys even make her a customized green salad with special herbs on order.

“You are what you eat, so it becomes all the more important to watch your food. After all, the belly rules the mind,” she quips. Ah, now those sound like words of wisdom, in these times of fast-food. No wonder, the gal exudes radiance nowadays.
